During our trip to Scotland and England, Duane only wish was to go to a Harley shop. After a five mile walk with a London street map we found Warr's. It turned out to be the oldest Harley shop in England! |

The girls were smart enough to ride in the trail vehicle as we crossed the desert on the back way to Laughlin. We stopped at the only gas station for one hundred miles. It was packed with great bikes. The Magnum looked good and the bikes were cool! |
Duane wanted me to do something with all the biker fabric I had accumulated in my stash, so I made him this! Now he is asking for shirts...... What's a girl to do?
This quilt is made mostly from fat quarters and a large 1.5 yard center of Born to Ride fabric from Alexander Henry. It was machine quilted by a friend who used the traditional shield and bars form for the stitiching. |

A close-up of the border. Fat quarters are perfect for making borders. Notice the old Harley blue fabric? It is difficult to find. Just had to incorporate it into Duane's quilt. |

Another close-up of the quilt. The top actually came together in an afternoon because of the basic block structure. The pin-up girls are very patriotic and add just the right touch of nostalgia. |
